Mesh Component Set Material does not work unless the material contains a parameter

Summary

If you try and change the material of a mesh component and the material doesn’t contain a parameter then the material doesn’t update.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create 2 materials
  2. Add a parameter to one
  3. Attempt to set material of a mesh component to both
  4. Only the material with a parameter will be displayed

Expected Result

Material should change regardless

Strange what if you add the material and creating the mesh_comp ?

Yes, tried it that way, preplaced, prefabs. It is 100% the material parameters

The status of FORT-1090467 changed to ‘Needs Triage’. We’ve confirmed the issue and it’s waiting to be assigned to someone to fix it.
