Merging actors messes up model

Sorry, not quite sure where to post this, but I’m new to unreal and I have a tree model with multiple parts. I would like to merge the separate actors into one, but doing so messes up the merged actor. What am I doing wrong?

In what way does it messes up the merged actor?

Oh I see, I thought you are merging them together, my bad. One issue might be that the leaves material is not nanite compatible, so something messes up there. Try to disable nanite on all parts if it is on.

I’m using the 5.1 build built from source which supports masked materials, so that shouldn’t be a problem. It’s ok, I’ve just used blender to merge them, normally merging in unreal works so it’s not a big deal

For all those who still experience this problem, use the Merge Actors option in the top menu bar instead of the modeling tool. Then everything should work fine
