I just started a new project using Unreal 5.6 (had been using 5.4) and for some reason I have some objects that aren’t self shadowing correctly. The two windows on the left are individual objects. The two windows on the right are a part of the house object. As you can see, when the windows and house are all one object, they aren’t shadowing correctly while the individual windows are. Does anyone know why this is happening? I don’t see this happening in 5.4. Thanks for the help.
So I just figured out what was happening. By default Nanite is enabled, and once it’s disabled and I save the mesh the object shadows correctly.
