Memory use rises to over budget when pushing changes despite deleting items and entire build areas.

Summary

Is there a fix for this ongoing issue? When I publish a map that’s within memory budget, when I log back in it’s suddenly over budget. I keep deleting things each time I log in, and even when deleting and pushing changes it rises over budget. It used to help to quit the application and restart to bring it under budget, but now it jumps over budget even after deleting half the map. This has to be a bug unless there is a step to delete saved cache or something? If not, I need more memory due to the increase of game options. Please advise.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. build island.
  2. run memory check
  3. publish
  4. log out
  5. log back in and memory has increased dramatically.

Expected Result

When memory check is within budget for publishing a map, it’s expected to be within budget when logging back in. Whats happening now is memory continues to increase even after deleting thousands of items. This is new and it’s making it very difficult to update maps. Need a resolve to this issue.

Observed Result

Memory goes over 100k after publishing a map and after deleting numerous objects.

I had a similar issue in my map.
Epic responded and said the memory can change depending on which item is currently displaying in an item granter device.

So your best bet is to remove your item granters until this is fixed.

Maybe replace with vending machines or item spawners or something.
