Summary
The calculation of the Memory budget was changed. Looks like the approach was completely changed. I was trying to remove different elements but could not figure out how to reduce memory - I removed 20 elements and still I am over the budget though before the update I was around 96K/100K… Now nothing helps and the values looking totally different.
I can also see that many native Fortnite elements like NPCs are counted now and also considered by budget calculations - so if I have spawners for wild life and Guards they are taking a huge part of the budget.
I also noticed that if I click on “Hidden assets” - one of the LandscapeStreamingProxies is selected… looks like landscape is now also added to calculation (I am using one of the standard landscapes - nothing custome or hidden there!).
I also checked the 2 references which are linked to 400+ and 500+ actors! they both are showing the same NPC! How is it possible - I don’t have so many NPCs… even if different NPCs are using the same texture asset that can not be the case that there are so many.
