Hi, im trying to figure out how i can detect the movement of a mesh that gets attached to the player hand (a Sword) and determine if it is moving over a certain speed… and if it is enable overlap events, anyone have any idea on how to do that? or a better way of handling melee weapons in vr?

I did something similar with a gun (pistol whip) and a sword blueprint where I play a whoosh sound if the linear velocity of the barrel is over a certain value (in my case, 2000).
This might help… just replace the “play sound at location” node with an overlap enable.
