still the same. you do the transform in software which is cpu reliant. the matrices gotta be synced with a gpu buffer. instances or not they will likely render batched and still gotta be transformed into the world and the bvh rebuild. there are some bottle necks. instances that do not move their origin may reside on the gpu. the wpo is computed on the gpu, aswell as bvh. difference in compute logic. whatever.
