I’m trying to use a Canon camera with EOS Webcam Utility to bring a live video into composure to do a live chroma key.
I watched some tutorials on bringing in the video into a Media Player. I tried selecting the webcam in the list of inputs in the media player but the video feed doesn’t show up in the preview window. I’ve tried unplugging and re-plugging in the camera and nothing seems to get it to work. I know the webcam works as I can see the video if I open the camera app on my computer.
Does anyone know how to get it to work or if there another way to bring a live video feed into the composite plugin?
Any update on this? I’m trying to get an NDI feed from Dragonframe to show up in Media Player but I can’t even get a webcam that I’m testing to show up. Nothing works. I’m on Mac and it seems like it’s a permissions issue. Like, the permissions box just isn’t popping up in Unreal to allow video.
I have the same problem.
2 years since this question and problem was reported here and nothing has happened.
I have watched many tutorials on this problem and tried everything. Nothing has worked.
About the problem:
Webcam is recognized in MediaPlayer but no video is shown and the webcam is not activated. The sound from the webcam works.
Video files are played without any problems.
My system:
Windows 10 (22H2) [10.0.19045.4780] (x86_64)
5.4.3-34507850+++UE5+Release-5.4
Direct x drivers all up to date
What have I tried?
Project settings: Tried all direct x versions (dx11, dx12, default)
Plugins: Electra Media Player activated/deactivated
Various webcams tried, DSLR cameras and virtual webcams (e.g. OBS)
Is there nothing new on this yet? Absolutely nothing?
