MaterialTime Node slows down in material during gameplay, works fine in-editor

In my editor, my panners on this material work great! I can see that they’re buzzing around very well. However, when I hit play, something strange is happening where the panner slows down a LOT, so you can’t see any movement.

For the record, I’ve not got any time dilation stuff going, so I know it isn’t that. Any ideas from anyone on what could be causing this? Maybe some overlooked world setting? Every other material seems to behave is it should, so I don’t know if this issue is unique to this setup I’ve got on this material.

More context: TIME node is set to default values, as is the Sine node. This material essentially is made to pan two channels of this mask in inverse directions of each other, and it works, except for as soon as I hit Play.

I’m assuming it suffers from the same problem as tick. Frame rate changes depending on machine load.
