Material Tab shows nothing

Hello everyone,
i’m very new to unreal and when i was starting to try out a little bit of everything in the editor i tried to open the material tab to edit my own but when i do so nothing apper inside of it as shown below. Did i forget to enable something or it is just a bug in the editor and if so, how can i fix it?

Perhaps the panels were closed accidently, ensure you tick what’s needed here:

Worst case scenario, consider resetting editor layout to defaults (very bottom).

It actually worked to use default editor layout
