Material issue with foliage in reflections (UE 5.5 / Quixel)

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with reflections in Unreal Engine. My Quixel European Black Alder trees are set to “winter mode,” but in the reflections, they look like the default model.

I’m also having a similar issue with other foliage, where in reflections they appear to be using very low LODs.

Edit : 5.3 → Same issue

Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

I don’t know if you eventually managed to find the information, but I had the same issue as you with reflections appearing at a very low LOD. I’m writing here to explain how I fixed it, in case someone else runs into the same problem:

In Project Settings → Engine → Rendering → Lumen → Ray Lighting Mode, change it from Surface Cache to Hit Lighting for Reflections.
