you didnt hook up the alpha channel of the texture to the mask or opacity slot probably.
Would be nice if you showed us the material setup.
what do you mean? Im pretty new to this sorry. what do I have to do
show us your material, then I can draw lines on it etc to help you understand.

First of all, read all of this: http://pastebin.com/Z1AficKB it will help you understand a bit more about materials, PBR (physically based rendering) and some theory behind it.
second: Connect a wire like the red line in this image:
And set the Blend mode in the “material” options in the “details” panel to “Masked”
now itll work.
