Summary

Hi! I just made a update to my biggest map, I just added the new weapons and right when the private code was reviewed and approved, my CCU went from 3300 → 900 in the matter of 30 minutes, without any changes on my discover/browse tabs. I’ve tried the map and other friends without any issues, but something has happened for sure and im super stressed here.

More Information:

Today I was adding all the new season 2 weapons to my biggest map.

When I was done and were trying to make the memory calculations to send it in for review, I lost connection to the editor, everytime I ended the game in the edit session.

Then I removed “auto-start”, but when I started the edit session I couldnt move.

I’ve made a bug report about it here.

I was able to run memory calculation despite not being able to move, so I did that and playtested that version. Didnt have any issued so I sent in that private code for review.

Exactly when the version was Approved, my concurrent players went from 3300 → 800 in the matter of 45 minutes. I and multiple friends tried the map without issue, I also checked over 50 maps and spoke with multiple friends with maps, nobody had any major declines in players.

So I reverted back to the old version and the CCU went from 800 → 2600 in 30 minutes.

I assume there is a issue somewhere with how player data are sent to epic, because my dashboard & discover had the same low numbers. But it does make sense that it goes from 3300 → 800 in 45 minutes, then back up to 2600 in 30 minutes with people actual leaving/re-joining.

Attaching screenshots that shows without a doubt that something is very wrong with my V6 live version.

Here is another screenshot that absolutely verifies that something was wrong with my 6th release that went live right before the drop happened.

3300 → 800 players in 30 minutes, with my map being the only one affected visibile of all the maps I’ve checked. Exactly when I reverted back to the old version it goes back up again.

^ This happened earlier today when I was trying to run memory calculation and update the map. I was told by epic support on discord to try to release the version and see how it goes. Obviously something is very wrong with that release if you check the screenshots provided. Hope this information helps.
