Matchmaking/Join-in-Progress Issue

Summary

It appears that matchmaking is disabled immediately after the game starts on my 1v1 Build Fight Map (1832-0431-4852). No new players are able to join a game in progress through public matchmaking. As a result, players are forced to requeue whenever their opponent leaves, because it’s a 2-player map.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Load into a ‘Public’ game on my 1v1 Build Fight Map (1832-0431-4852) with 2 players.
  • Have 1 player leave the game, so that a new player should be able to join through public matchmaking.
  • Notice that no new player joins, even though the map has a highly active playerbase with players constantly que’ing.

Expected Result

When a player leaves, a new player should be able to join the game in progress via public matchmaking, allowing the match to continue without requiring players to requeue.

Observed Result

Once the game starts, it appears that matchmaking is disabled, and no new player can join the game. Players must requeue every time their opponent leaves, which is inconvenient for 2-player matches

  • Its unclear if this issue is particular to my map, Ive tested 3 similar maps which did not seem to have this issue
  • I recently transfered this map from Personal Projects to a Team
