Matchmaking Delays and Errors since v39.51 Update

Summary

Matchmaking is taking a very long time and is often hitting a Matchmaking Error #1. Failure rate to matchmake has gone up exponentially since the v39.51 update. Our players aren’t able to get into our games since the update.

Skybox has been hit the worst but we are seeing this across all of our games since the update. Skybox was a Creative 1.0 game ported to UEFN.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Fortnite since the v39.51 update
  2. Try to play Skybox by Bifrost
  3. Wait in Lobby for an extended period of time before a Matchmaking Error #1 occurs.

Expected Result

I would find a lobby within 3 seconds and load into the island without any errors.

Observed Result

Wait 4-10 minutes to find a server or encounter a Matchmaking Error #1.

Additional Notes

I was able to reproduce this error on my first attempt after 5 minutes of waiting. My second attempt connected to a lobby after 4 minutes of waiting. The error is not a 100% reproduction but the extended queue times are consistent and obvious with the chart images attached.

Ive been having this same issue for around a month. I get the Matchmaking Error #1 when I try to join a lobby with players already in it. This issue needs to be addressed because nothing is fixing it.
