I think a lot of developers are hesitant to do more character packs because the amount of time they take to create (high quality) makes it a very risky endeavor.

Well, Not only Also because it is the most “dificult” job in the 3D industry, these guys have the ‘top notch skillz’ in the 3D industry … they don’t really care about the market place, they earn enough money with their job and like you said, thay don’t really have any time…
