When launching a session, pushing changes, or launching a memory calculation, the devices revert to the channel system, resulting in no devices in the map working. This gets resolved when starting and ending a game. However, you cannot publish a map without a memory calculation, so any published map is getting out there with fully broken devices.

Steps to Reproduce
Load into a session, push changes, or finish a memory calulation
Expected Result
All devices in the map will lose access to event binding, and have to channels tab instead
Observed Result
The event binding tabs dissapeared and the channels tab appeared
Try placing a new IslandSettings device, that might fix it (Iād recommend you save the project before doing it and make sure to remove the old islandsettings device) let me know if that fixes it for you
Happening to me as well today. Deleting the Island Settings will revert to the Direct Event binding, but adding a new one changes it back to Channels, so for now I canāt have Island Settings in the level.
Another issue in the Island Settings is āAllow Slidingā is greyed even when Locomotion Presets on Custom (without any overriding movement devices).
My island that is stuck in legacy event mode is island code is 8102-2215-5317

Deleting and copy/pasting island settings devices from another island on my own didnāt work for me either, but the text file that @shdleo shared above DOES for some reason. It fixed my island settings event system and sliding issues I was having
Still happening even new Islands, also another bug associated with this one is the absence of Start/End Button in the in-game UI and glitched jumping while the game is started
Open the above file that shdleo posted (IslandsettinsgFixed.txt)
Copy all the contents to clipboard
go back to my island in UEFN and press ctrl+v to paste
Island settings is visibly, successfully added to the game outliner.

Open the same game in UEFN
Launch session
Place Trigger Device, see new direct event binding system in its menu.
configure trigger device to pop up dialog with direct event binding.
press start game, everything works
Exit live session.
search in outliner for āpopā ādialogā ātriggerā none of these devices exist in outliner.
Start another live session
Place another pop up dialog
Legacy event system with channels that do not work is back
