Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately if you Didn’t upload your project to the cloud / Revision Control Retrieving it is gonna be impossible.

If you still have access to your old pc Load up the project in UEFN and Press the Check-In Changes Button and then you should be able to sync the changes to your new pc.

You CAN recover SOME assets like textures etc, that you might have had on your project when you uploaded it to the content service (essentially each time you published/pushed changes in a edit session)

Steps:

  1. Go to the Content Service Site UEFN - Content Service

  2. Select Your Project (Let’s say in this case the project name is ‘VerseCrashTest’)

  3. Go to the Modules Page

  4. Inside there IDEALLY there should be only 1 Module, however some times it can be 2 or more if that’s the case click the one that was the most recently updated as that would be most likely the main one

  5. When you’re inside the module it should look something like this.

  6. The files you should care about should be any assets_X.zip and any file ending with .verse

The verse files should be directly your scripts as you had them, and in the assets_X.zip there should be other resources like textures you may had, materials etc. They should look something like this, being saved as .uasset

you can just paste those in the content folder of a project and I believe if you restart uefn they should show up in your content drawer.
