Map indicator Objective Pulses broken after 36.00.

Summary

Activating an objective pulse from the map indicators no longer works as of most recent patch 36.00. The settings don’t seem to matter as long as the player should be able to see the pulse.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Place a map indicator device
  2. Activate the device’s objective pulse through any means
  3. You’ll notice the navigation pulse won’t appear

There is a workaround for this. You can activate the objective pulse through verse and it will (sometimes) work properly.

Expected Result

Activating the pulse through the device’s settings should activate the pulse as expected

Observed Result

The pulse never activates if done through the device’s settings. It will only work sometimes if activated through verse.

The bug in the link above is still present in the game 6 months later and combined with this bug, makes working with map indicators really inconvenient.

As an added comment this has been working inconsistently through Verse a lot longer than since patch 36.00.
Jumpstarting through Verse seems to provide more consistent results, although we shouldn’t have to do a hacky workaround for this.
Hopefully it will be fixed someday, but it’s not a new issue

I will add this thing has always been buggy to hell especially at game start. I have never used this feature in about a yr and instead use the compass device thats on the snippets repository its abit extra work maybe 20 mins but works everytime ect.

I did request just a normal objective pulse device so long ago and this was never added :frowning: would be a big help as i think a lot of the issues are all the extra stuff attached to the map indicator/beacon ect
