sorry if this is the wrong spot for this but im having an issue. ive posted a pic. seems when i try to paint layers on my terrain this happens…
any idea why?
Paint over the entire terrain with one layer. After that it should work 
Tried that,still nothing. Tried new map, reloading, new terrain, laying down different layers at first.

-what exactly is the problem? -> that it paints an entire component?
It appears it was an issue with my project. Started a new project, made the landscape material and all is well. Thanks for your time anyway.
