The Map Controller Device has been broken since Update 29.10. It’s now 29.30 and no noticeable acknowledgement that it’s broken. This is severely hindering our development progress and causing me to halt all my projects. This has also impacted already publish projects as I jumped on one of my more popular projects and found that the map was no longer working. The symptoms are a blank minimap and blank full sized map. The Map Controller simply will not display the map.

Steps to Reproduce
Star a new project in UEFN
Add a Map Controller Device from the device folder
Move the Map Controller Device to ensure it is at least above the terrain
Save, Launch a Session, and Start the Game.
Expected Result
The expected behavior is that you will see a map displayed in the minimap in the top right corner and pressing the Map keybind will display a full sized map.
Observed Result
The minimap frame is blank. The full sized map is blank. In instances where icons for waypoints/objects have been added, the icons will display on a blank map.

Additional Notes
This makes games that are built to make maps an important part of gameplay, unplayable. This has also seemingly broken previously published games.
I tested again with the release of 29.40. I removed the old map controller, saved my project, then added a new map controller. All default settings with the exception of raising the device to 5000 on the z-axis. This problem needs support. Please test and contribute to the reports.
I’m curious to know, are other people NOT using the map controller? Or is this issue only happening to certain people? I don’t see many people complain about it which makes me think other people are not using it because it’s broken for me in brand new projects without fail. Are people just not creating large enough maps to warrant using the map controller?

I’m also having this issue, weird. I don’t know if this is correlated in any way at all, but also I cannot see the preview of the map controller in UEFN, though while I’m moving my cursor, THEN the map controller preview shows until my cursor once again isn’t moving, interesting.
For the time being, I’ve been using textures with the map controller. If you add a texture it will show up, but then you wont see player builds or other things on it in my experience.
