Summary
Assigning a custom map material to the map controller device will cause a client crash when attempting to push changes.
UEFN then will not push additional changes, requiring a shutdown of the editor, relaunch of both editor and client severely impacting iteration time.

Place Map Controller Device in World.
Check “Custom map material” = true.
Assign a custom map material (needs to be material of domain type = UI.)
Launch map.
Make changes in scene.
Save scene.
Push new changes.
Expected Result
Map should update as expected and custom minimap should display
Observed Result
Client crashes.
