Making the wall from Game of thrones

Hello everyone

I currently trying to make the wall from Game of Thrones, but im having some trouble trying to find the best method. Im a newbie in UE4 and i got a little experince in Zbrush.

Im going for something like this.

What would be the best way to tackle this look, and have it look seamless and nice.


Maybe a big tiling sculpted mesh with a tessellated material for up close? The snow and ice piled up around the base could also be separate meshes.

Take a look at the Elemental Demo. There’s a large ice wall/dam in there comprised of the old mesa rock from UDK they used with an ice shader.

I’d just do that, by creating modular rocks with an ice/snow shader on it, and then duplicating it across as much as you want.
