Make impact spot crack

Hi,

I want to make the ground crack under the feet of my character when lands. How would I do this?

2 options come to my mind:

if you want to actually cracked surface in 3D:

  1. you can try to use a destuctable mesh and play with parameters.

  2. animations - you will need to do it in 3d program though, like 3d max/maya.

if you just want to show that ground cracked: you can place a texture (actor with a texture on a plane) with the crack under the feet. You can bring it up by quickly changing transparency. Spawn some dust, etc. Should be looking good :slight_smile:
