Thanks for your messages, everyone. We know the challenges some of our publishers are facing and we’re working to address your feedback to make Fab better.
We’ve made some meaningful progress since launch, but we know there’s a lot more work to be done. I want to make sure you have the latest on:
Sales
-The Spring Sale started earlier this week on April 22nd and it’s one of the largest sales of the year. I hope everyone is able to take part in this and future sitewide sales.
-General frequency of sales - running sales including the same products more often is not possible for Fab due to various legal regulations designed to provide pricing transparency for consumers. As a result, products included in a sale cannot go on sale again until 30 days after the first sale ends. This applies equally to all types of Sales - both Fab Event Sales and (in the near future) Individual Sales. More details on this are covered in the Fab Sales and Discounts section. We are organizing more sitewide sales in the coming months.
-We added a wishlist feature to help buyers bookmark their favorite content.
-Individual sales - this is coming on Fab in a matter of weeks and you will be able to take part and schedule these for your content soon.
Search
-In recent months, we’ve made some pretty big updates to improve search and to make it easy to find the right content for a given project. I’m adding some key improvements below, but if you’re interested in all the details, check out our recent updates: February 5 - Dev update, March 26 - Dev update
-Performance data from UEM and Sketchfab is now implemented and the historic performance of content is considered when generating search results in addition to performance on Fab.
-A lot of UX/UI fixes completed to address easy navigation between categories and content types.
-Filter by tech details, semantic search and further algorithm improvements are still in work and continue to get refined with every release.
Here’s our roadmap of what we are working on currently. Planned work includes bundles, reviews, comments and overall improved tooling for publishers. All of these will enable publishers further and help with monetization efforts.
We really do appreciate your feedback, and if you’re running into any technical issues or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to support.
