MAJOR - Verse hot reload failed error

Summary

Hello,

I’m creating a new bug report about the “Verse hot reload failed” error.
Here’s a link to an already existing bug report that’s marked as “fixed” where some devs shared their experience: Verse Hot Reload Failing - Crashes Back to Lobby - #20 by VysenaWoyka

The issue is still basically the same. After trying to push Verse changes, I have a pop up showing up on my screen saying “Verse hot reload failed” (see screenshot #1).
This causes my Fortnite client to kick me back to the main Fortnite menu with the “Network Connection Lost” error (see screenshot #2).
When checking the logs, there are a lot of errors but none of them seems to point at any specific resource in my project (see screenshot #3).

I’m not 100% sure this is a scene graph specific issue but every time I’ve encountered it, it was on a project with Scene Graph enabled.

This issue forces me to fully restart the live edit session, which is a huge time-waster. It sometimes requires me to wait 7-8 minutes (time needed to launch my project) every time I do any change (even when it’s only a single line) in my verse code.

Hello, what kind of info would be useful? I am still experiencing this issue.

Similar issue from this forum.

This is a pretty annoying issue since we cant do a memory calculation

Replying back because it’s been a few weeks this went worse, especially on a specific project.

When pushing Verse changes, I 100% have the “Verse hot reload failed” error popup showing up and an error message appearing at the bottom right of my screen (see attached), disconnecting my Fortnite client from the editor and forcing me to launch a new session (so count approximately 8 minutes for everything to load again). Attached the logs of both UEFN and FortniteGame.

This is a HUGE time waster as for ANY change I do, I have to restart the whole game.

Also for some reasons I ignore, when stopping the game (while in an editor session),the game freezes for a few seconds (as it normally does when ending a game, the time it “reloads” the session) then there’s an extra delay and the Fortnite session disconnects from the editor.
