Summary
Hello,
I’m creating a new bug report about the “Verse hot reload failed” error.
Here’s a link to an already existing bug report that’s marked as “fixed” where some devs shared their experience: Verse Hot Reload Failing - Crashes Back to Lobby - #20 by VysenaWoyka
The issue is still basically the same. After trying to push Verse changes, I have a pop up showing up on my screen saying “Verse hot reload failed” (see screenshot #1).
This causes my Fortnite client to kick me back to the main Fortnite menu with the “Network Connection Lost” error (see screenshot #2).
When checking the logs, there are a lot of errors but none of them seems to point at any specific resource in my project (see screenshot #3).
I’m not 100% sure this is a scene graph specific issue but every time I’ve encountered it, it was on a project with Scene Graph enabled.
This issue forces me to fully restart the live edit session, which is a huge time-waster. It sometimes requires me to wait 7-8 minutes (time needed to launch my project) every time I do any change (even when it’s only a single line) in my verse code.
