Major - Player keeps pickaxe no matter what setting

I am making a map where I need the player not to have a pickaxe.

  1. I ve set no pickaxe in island settings. The player spawns with pickaxe
  2. I ve set a class designer on a default class the player spawns with no pickaxe. The player spawns with pickaxe on a published code.
  3. Now I will try to set a class selector to switch to that class mid-game, just to make sure it goes away. EDIT: It didnt

Would be nice if it worked from island settings/class designer though.

Noticed this as well, seems to happen randomly and is quite annoying

Yes, this is also seriously affecting one of my published maps. It’s a sports experience where players are supposed to kick or shoot the ball, but they end up thinking they should hit it with the pickaxe, making it much harder to control where the ball goes, causing player frustration.

What I’ve noticed is the pickaxe setting does seem to be respected on repeat plays, but never on the first time island is played on a new server.
