[Major] Nintendo Switch 2 players cannot exit the Rocket Racing car

Summary

I discovered that on a Nintendo Switch 2 the R button does have no effect after entering a Rocket Racing car (vehicle_spawner_rocketracing_device). The player cannot exit the car. It doesn’t work with the JoyCons nor with the Switch 2 Pro controller.

Please delete this unrelated message from this thread. With respect, generally I would appreciate if you stop replying on my bug threads as your posts often derailing the topic, have nothing to do with it or contain a cryptic message that makes not much sense. Thank you.

Throttle also shows as unbound after v36.30. Throttle does work though. It is a visual issue.

This status update is unfortunate.

This was not fixed in v38.00

@Flak this issue did not land with the current build. Please reopen the issue again.

I’ll let them know, thank you!

FORT-937449 has been ‘Closed’. We’re unable to reproduce this issue.

This is very easy to replicate on the Nintendo Switch 2 and should be reopened:

Replicate:

  1. Launch Fortnite on Nintendo Switch 2.
  2. Start a creative match.
  3. Once in your island open the map.
  4. Switch to the content tab, then click Devices.
  5. Search for the RR Vehicle Spawner.
  6. Place a RR Vehicle Spawner in a creative map.
  7. Enter the RR vehicle.
  8. Try to exit the vehicle.

You will notice there is no way to exit the vehicle. On the left side of the screen it says “Unbound” for Exit Vehicle. It also says “Unbound” for Throttle, but Throttle does work.

I appreciate the effort you took to sum up. The problem with the bug reporter here is that epic has a strange way of closing tickets. They test against their internal build which has progressed and is not the current public build. If the bug can’t be reproduced, they close it with that explanation. It would be less confusing if it said something “can’t be reproduced with vXX.YY” which would provide us enough hints.
