Since the v25.30 update cinematic sequencers are not responding to Stop in either Verse or through direct binding. This makes them unusable for a lot of use cases.
Personally have only tested it with a cinematic sequencer that is applied to instigator only so not sure if this is also the case for cinematic sequencers applied to everyone.
The problem only shows up in public matches and not in edit sessions. This was discovered when using a camera actor in a cinematic sequencer to make a custom spectator mode.
Since the cinematic sequencer also has other issues I will list the issues that already existed to clear up confusion:
- [OLD] Need separate cinematic sequencers per player when using applied to instigator.
- [OLD] A sequencer that is played immediately after it has been stopped and hasn’t fired a stop event breaks completely.
- [OLD] Join in progress desync issues.
- [NEW/v25.30] Not responding to Stop in either Verse or direct binding.
