Major - Audio tracks in sequencer restart mid-playback

There doesn’t seem to be a reason as to why this happens. We noticed for about a 2-3 minute audio track, the audio would randomly restart while the player is watching the sequencer play back.

The audio track is nearly the same length as the sequencer file (just a tiny bit shorter), and would end at the end of the sequencer session (so it’s not a loop issue).

We haven’t seen it as often with the last update, but it still exists. Some players report it happens when they alt-tab.

+1, when we hooked our music to a sequencer and set it to play we had the same issue. Also restarts if you go to the audio options too, as a player.

@jleonardsims1 Could we either get your project or a new project with your sequence and the sound file you’re using? If you are unable to share files, could you do a video walkthrough so we can take a look?

Thank you!

@Flak I’ll message you our island test code.

Thank you! We have everything we need and will investigate.

Try setting audio compression to PCM or Bink in the wave file properties. These formats allow seeking/scrubbing, it might tie into this. By default wave files are not scrubbable in the sequencer. Just a thought.

Nevermind, I am now having this happen on 24.00. It was not an issue for me previously. Just going into the menu in live session retriggers audio from the beginning.

Seeing if I can work around it but is certainly a bug.

Hi, this seems to be improved but still occurs in 24.01, especially if any Fortnite windows are moved during audio playback. Tabbing out seems to be okay in windowed mode though.
