[MAJOR] Asset Reflection

Sorry, do you not have the option to [Check-in changes] after you have made the edits to the .uplugin/.uefnproject files? You should see an icon appear at the bottom-right corner of the editor.

Once you check-in your changes, that should update the files on the repository for your team members as well.

The "experimental": { ... } line you added needs to go inside the curly braces for "dataSets", like this:

    "dataSets":
    {
        "experimental": { "sceneGraph": { "bIsSceneGraphSystemAllowed": false } },
        "matchmaking":
        {

i have to change the files with the project opened up?

It should not matter - you can change them with the project currently open or closed. But for the sake of simplicity - it might be more prudent doing this with the project closed and then re-opening it afterwards.

yes so thats what im doing i also added it within the curly brackets but what happens is it starts making a new file for my project and starts redownloading all the content and i get a new version which has scene graph enabled

Make sure it looks like this. Edit it in VSCode

This solved my issue to disabled scene graph. I can now click the launch session button and it starts but I get the same error everytime

this did fix it thx

having this issue rn aswell verse errors are gone

Thanks for the fix, worked for me.

@OllyZeroBuild @NLRyanNL We’ve seen this sort of failure before, but haven’t managed to track it down yet. It tends to go away on re-tries- but if that doesn’t help, please open a separate thread, since it’s likely unrelated to this Scene Graph asset reflection bug.

I made both changes but its still not clearing my errors

still running into issues when trying to fix this problem, I can’t open my project anymore.

Hi, sorry to hear that you’re still running into issues. Could you:

  1. Share your .uefnproject file and .uplugin project files
  2. Share the UEFN editor log that you have when you’re trying to do this.

Your original project file should have been saved in a previous URC snapshot, and even if it is somehow missing or failing to sync, we should be able to recreate it fairly easily if needed.

Just some additional info for Epic:

We were trying to update two projects last night. One had the scene graph “enabled” issue one did not. The one that was okay from the start I went into and out of a couple times last night and my partner made changes to it. I went into it this morning to publish and pushed changes and it failed. Scene Graph is now automagically enabled on this other project that was okay. I did the fix on this one also and its now okay and I can push changes.

What is the long term stability of doing this? Is this going to break the map down the road by having scene graph set to disabled in the project settings file when scene graph is not beta?

i dont get why it worked for a single project and for the others it doesnt, when are u planning on fix this bug

did this and worked for project, did it again on another project and now i cant even try to launch a session or build a verse that uefn crashes and i get this error
