I have been trying to get proper color grading using a LUT to work in engine. I read through the documentation and created a file as suggested. When I apply it to my post process volume, there is a lot of intense banding, even with a subtle color grade.
Is there anything I should be doing specifically when saving the file? Or maybe upon import? Is there a way to use higher pixel depth? What is the preferred file format?
Maybe I am just missing something, but any suggestions would be appreciated.
I took the file in the docs then loaded it into pshop, also took a screenshot of my scene, added adjustment layers till it looked nice by eye - copied the layers then switched the LUT image add same layers then save again, import and used in game, worked perfectly.
Maybe you did not use the correct “ColorLookupTable” texture group setting? It is important that these are stored in a format that does not cause compression loss.
