Lumen values

What are sane lumen values for light sources like wall torches?

I’m trying to light up a dungeon with point lights and scenes are fairly dark even when each torch has power of 5000 lumen.

Am I missing something?

You can turn off “Use Inverse Squared Fallof” which is under “Indirect Lightning Intensity”.

Hmm. I’ll try that.

I’d still like to know normal lumen values, though.

It difficult to say how much lumen a torch has, but for a light in an ordinary room you should use around 100 lm/m² (dont know if that’s true, but I read it somewhere on the internet :p) to get a good result (in real life) -> so in game dev I would just test some values to get a good result

It could also be that it’s so dark due to the eye adaption -> decrease the effect or disable it (post process volume)

Thanks for the info, I’ll keep that in mind.

That is true, I get decent scene if I disable auto-exposure and set it to x4. I guess I’ll look into post processing a bit more.

Thanks for the info, I don’t have other questions at the moment.
