As you can see attached, the shadows seem very aliased (1), there are some kind of white splotches in the dark areas (2), and some polygons are way too black (3)
What am I doing wrong ?
(fyi, I imported my static mesh from 3dsmax straight into the ElectricDreams project without changing any setting)
Direct shadowing wouldn’t be a lumen problem, as lumen is not designed to handle direct lighting (under normal circumstances). You’re likely encountering an issue with virtual shadow maps.
The first thing I’d do is run it through the reference path-tracer. If there are any issues then, you’ll know it’s with your mesh itself, and not your lumen settings.

I might have figured out how to solve those issues : simply by changing the engine scalability settings from epic to cinematic. It costs a lot, but that do the job :
by the way, the mesh from 3ds max is correct, vertices are perfectly snaped, no overlapping poly, thickness, etc…the path tracer gives me a nice result also :
