Having a strange problem. There’s a wall 25cm in thickness (two sided, welded, etc, proper wall). When I place any asset near the wall, light bleed appears. The problem doesn’t seem to be in distance field settings or whatever. The problem doesn’t appear with the default cube. Exporting via maya or max doesn’t make any difference. What could it be?
Hello there @greatluffy!
Checking around the community, there have been other cases of light bleeding from walls when certain objects are placed near them, and that’s is most likely due the complexity of said object.
Since your shelf is composed of multiple parts in different angles, as they approach the wall, Lumen could pick once of said angles and reflect a light that shouldn’t be possible. This also explains why a default cube generates no such effect.
I would suggest splitting your mesh into parts (back panel, shelves, side panels, etc) to improve surface coverage. As well, you can further increase the thickness of your walls and ceiling, to make sure not even the slightest separation exists.
