I did some testing with lumen and found out that fast moving or spawned lights don’t work too well. For example I have a missile with a point light in it’s tail. If I spawn one of these and immediately shoot it through the level, I don’t get much or any light. Though if I let it move more slowly it works.
Had the same issue setting up a spotlight and having it rotate at about 50 degrees per second, when it starts moving the light fades out and can’t be seen.
I’m wondering if there is a work around for this? Is it possible to bypass lumen for specific lights and have them just done as ray traced or another way? I don’t want to completely shut off lumen but I don’t want to give up the drama of transient lighting effects like missile trails or short lived emissive laser beams.
