Low FPS with a 3090 and unreal 4.26.2

Hi Im am totally stuck on an issue that I cant seem to figure out. Im having really bad perf in editor and when I cook a build on my rtx 3090 this is the same scene captured on 2080ti

this is the scene captured on a 3090
On the 3090 this is what the GPU capture showed
I went through uncapped the engine, adjusted frame rate smoothing
updated my drivers, removed them the whole 9 yards but I have no idea what the issue is. Here is my system specs as well

This is a pretty heavy scene view the GPU timings seem really odd because they dont seem to add up when I actually add the numbers
The other thing thats super super super odd is when i use r.ScreenPercentage 25 in game it doesnt move the gpu at all its not till I got to 300-400 that I start see the slow down. Im totally stuck. I know theres alot of optimization to do, but Im getting more or less the same perf that our lighter is on 1080ti? Any help would be huge. Thanks again

screen percentage 100
Screen Percentage 200

Then your performance bottleneck is not the GPU

That doesnt account for the lower end cards and lower end cpu’s having better perf though but ya i thought the same thing  thanks dude

What is that game? It looks amazing

its an indie thing im workin on thanks! gotta get those numbers up though!

You didn’t specify what CPUs were being used but I see that you’re on a 3960x which is a high end processor but its only real advantage over lower-end CPUs is its core count. Games generally do not benefit from high core counts and perform better with high single-core performance. I would expect a 5600x to easily outperform that processor.

That being said, 11ms seems like a really large difference to me.

Regardless, you need to profile your game/anim/draw stats and figure out where all your time is going.

Ya my draws are between 2-3k again I don’t have level streaming set up yet (ai fun is making that a pain) I’m gonna run a session front end on it, my poly counts are high too which may be the bottle neck they go between 2-8 mill depending on the set. But I would of expected to see that on lower cards.
Ehhh game dev lol. I actually swapped my old i9 for this because of the mother board was PCI3 so I switched to a PCI4 compatible Mother Board. More optimizing never hurt anyone lol
Im just really surprised that the 2080ti was getting better perf on my rig and the same when it got swapped to a different station. Interesting problem for sure!
Thanks for the info dude!
