Hello all!
I’m a CG teacher and I’m making a rendering level (in 5.1) for my students to render their props and characters in, for this I have a bunch of sublevels for lighting setups. What would be the simplest way to have my students load and unload these sublevels?
I’ve created systems in construction script, but they don’t seem to carry over into run time so it’s useless for movie render queue. (p.s. why no unload sublevel node in construction script? I made a work around but it’s annoying) I’ve tried to load them on tick but you have to be simulating the viewport and it doesn’t carry over to the editor (they just get unloaded once the sim stops.) And obviously I could just load them with the sequencer but many of my students probably won’t be able to comprehend that.
My current solution is right click → change streaming method → always loaded in the levels panel, which is great, but has people opening up a new window and right clicking on things, which isn’t optimal. Out of all of these solutions that I’ve tried none of them are very noobie friendly, optimally it’d be one button for each lighting setup, no right clicks no menus.
Any suggestions on how I could get my students to easily load sublevels?
Novel solutions appreciated.
Best!
