Loading in VR

We are currently in the process of getting our VR experience to have a nice flow of loading into game and joining people in online games easily. However, we have found that whenever a server travel or client travel is called, the user ends up going into the white VR room. Is there a way to avoid this white room issue or avoid having to do the client travel, as both users will be in the same level/map on thier respective games, but does a client have to travel to a hosts world to send messages online?

I would also like to know if there’s a way to “customize” the loading room
