Loading different stream levels in VR causes lag

I’m trying to load a stream level from a persistent one in VR.

In my stream level I’m loading some assets (medical data) on EventBeginPlay.

After moving to the stream level the files start to load, causing the VR view to lag / jitter / freeze because it is still processing the load function.

Is there a way I can go to the stream level only when everything is loaded and avoid that lagging in VR? Basically I need the function in the EventBeginPlay executed before actually opening the level. Or if there is a way I can “go somewhere else” while it’s loading…

I tried using loading / splash screens but it still lags when I entered my stream level.
