I am back again with another music video created in UE5. This time we have a metahuman swimming in an abstract space. A simple concept but with some subtle rim lighting.

What a fun music video. It felt very “dreamy” with the swimming but it was really the animation and facial expression that elevated the art for me. If you don’t mind answering, what initially inspired this? Or was it more just with the feeling of the music?

Inspiration? … great question:
yes, you are right … the feeling of the music does play a big part in the process;
also … “chance” … searching and finding something that resonates, like scrolling through a motion capture library;
but using these “found” things in slightly unexpected ways … so, in this example, swimming but not in water … that sounds a bit dreamlike, right?
