List of creative 1.0 bugs

Summary

Device and Preview Issues

• Enabling more than one post-process device with random number generation does not show a preview in creative mode. (It will randomly show only one effect and will not show others reguardless of enable state)

• Team outlines are always enabled, even if nameplates are set to always hide (cannot be disabled).

• Changing booth overhead icons always show in the creative gameplay preview.

• Changing booths cannot be assigned to a team, cannot be hidden with the prop manipulator, and have no events.

• Map device minimap settings are always overridden if a HUD device is present (even if HUD device map settings are set to “do not override”).

Widget Preview Problems

• Cannot filter out widget previews. (A quick setting is needed.)

• Media screenshots for lobby backgrounds show all widget previews.
• Can’t toggle between highlighted devices if they overlap.
• Prop manipulator can’t highlight wireframe of glass and has issues in general selecting glass.
• Previewing a camera doesn’t take you out of previewing a camera. (Doing more than one disables esc shortcut for the previous preview locking you into it)
• Guard Spawner shows spawn radius preview but not patrol radius preview.
• Island portals show half of the preview thumbnail when viewed upclose
• The Chinese gong asset shows wireframe on gong

Item and Coin Spawning Issues

• Item granters take a while to catch up if assigned to an short interval and multiple players. (Will cause world drops to dissapear)

• Coins do not respawn instantly with an event if they have recently been collected.

• Cannot set respawn time in coin settings.

• Cannot set coins to be world pickups instead of individual pickups.

Device Renaming

• If a device is renamed and then assigned, it will show the old name on connected devices.
• If a device is cut and pasted it will increase the named number of the device if there is another present.

Connection and Display Errors

• Some devices will not retain event connections if duplicated and then deleted (unknown device).
• Cannot delete an unknown device connection from event tab. (Need to delete device to fix)

• HUD settings won’t take effect until the team is changed or the player dies. (For example hud will show at game start even if players spawn on a team changer)

• Nameplates of guards are always shown even when nameplates are disabled.

Specific Device Malfunctions

• Accolade devices do not show in the preview if not set to the default medium.

• Random number devices have a chance of having winning values set to zero when highlighted.

• Sky devices do not work if you set multiple to different priorities and enable them only through events.

• Door lock devices will not allow doors to be interactable if unlocked through events (a workaround is to also open the door on the event).
• Prop manipulator doesn’t override health of object if damage is “turned off” in world settings.
• Health powerup will slowly pull itself down through the map after game previewing, if world damage is turned on in world settings.
• Guard Spawner being set to force attack player doesn’t work if they are set to neutral.
• Island settings overview description and tag lines do not sync with release.
• Island tags cannot be edited and do not sync with creator page
• Many guns do not work with first person. (I have an excel than can be provided of what ones do work)

Sorry for the formatting. There isn’t currently an option to submit many bugs at once and I really hope the team sees this as helpful.

To add to this:

Nature:

  • CH1 Jungle Tree doesn’t wave in the Wind and doesn’t appear on the Map and Mini Map
  • Invasion Gallery Pink Bush doesn’t appear on the Map and Mini Map
  • The Customizable Small Tree doesn’t appear on the Map or Mini Map
  • The Customizable Big Tree has two trees stuck inside of it; One being the CH2 Remix Nanite Tree and the other being the OG CH2 Tree
  • The CH2 Palm Spirally? Trees Palm part floats off its like trunk i guess
  • The Wilds Foliage Gallery doesn’t let you walk through any of its foliage/bushes/shrubs/plants
  • CH1 Birch Tree sways around with branches and leafs floating about
  • The Haunted Hills Pine Trees Leafs are floating off it.

Praying to GOD they fix these things because some of them have been going on for more over than ONE TO TWO YEARS and not a thing has been done about it…

To add to this, the cause of many of these things not animating at all or not showing up on the minimap is that they don’t have “Evaluate World Position Offset” checked in their StaticMeshComponent. This is fixable in UEFN, but not in 1.0, and would not be a hard fix for Epic to implement.
