I’ve turned off shadow, and set the z width to 0.01 (since otherwise you see the mesh along the sides joining due to opacity), I’ve rebuilt the lighting and tested in production, but still see lines in splines
I think it is due to a mismatch in the material pattern repeating, any pointers (I’m still very new to this):
So I figured out this line is due to the sides of the instance not matching up (red arrow)
For me so far, the way to match I have been trying to match these up is to play around with vertical/horizontal panner coordinates of each wave.
Getting the river waves to go in the direction that you want along the spline, and getting the waves to look good, and matching the instance up is pretty tough, spent hours on it, but I’m getting closer
If I could paint one spline with the material instance normal, then the next with it rotated by 180 and also reversed (so wave direction would be the same), it would solve my problem
Is there a tutorial to show you how to do this?
