ok so im working on test stuff before i get into making a hard-line project with requirements etc
messing around for the moment.
trying to get some lighting to stabilize a bit
and i noticed that when i deleted the light the room is still lit. its an open room with 1 window that isnt there.
and then a door that isnt there.
but.
i covered all of that up with another room over it, and its still lit, by “light source”
when i turn off light source it goes away, but its still lit!
so what’s the explanation to all of this, i looked around and of course everything is “in the box”
its like Epic thinks lists of function names or something is useful, then that approach “going outward”
which means going nowhere.
so something simple like and explanation of the lights, and its not there.
like this entire thing is unlit, its caged in a box which is overlapping brushes
theres no way light gets in, the light that is showing up is partly “directional light”
and then, what, the materials have emissions ?
there’s no way to get an explanation of what im looking at by going to unreal
Just set skylight and directional to moveable and build light once…
ahhh its the rebuild thing. i guess normal rebuild doesnt rebuild lights, so i have to rebuild lights specifically. ok got it.
not sure what this does? i tried it.
here - here is another example - i disabled all the lights. then i deleted them. i rebuilt.
this whole thing is still lit like this, wth.
i mean, this literally has no lights in it.
materials meshes props etc its a few random things honestly.
No lights, no emissive, and a rebuild?
