Lights Flickering On and Off

Hello everyone! I am a noob on Unreal and I have this problem that I have searched around (even on posts that appeared to my right when writing this one) but I can’t really seem to find the solution.

My lights keep turning on and off when I walk around my level…maybe I’m doing something wrong.

I have a video attached so you can see what I mean:

A little bit about the setup

  • it’s a simple house with 1 floor and shadowboxed around (Archviz Stuff)
  • I have Emissive material on spotlights but I am lighting the scene with rect and point lights below those points - not using Emissive as a “light source”
  • I am using Raytracing and I have increased samples per pixel on lights to 12/24 on noisy shadows
  • Lights are set to Stationary
  • I have a decent PC (64gb ram, 4070, nvme)
  • I am a noob (once again. Just to reiterate  - there’s probably a “lights don’t flicker” console command that everyone knows and I just don’t know it yet)

Thank you very much for your patience!

I seem to recall, the red X means you have point lights too close to each other. Make a bit more space, you should be ok.

Yeah I saw that but…I have 1 light per room. I can’t keep them further away. Surely there’s a way to keep 2 lights in the same space, no?
They are at least 2/3m apart.

I believe clockwork is right, in addition do you have a directional light in the level? If so try disabling that and check if the issue persists

Have you tried just moving the light slightly? How far do you have to move to get rid of the X?

Move the lights away and check your units, it looks like a unit and positioning thing instead of lights.

I found out what it was - drivers. Apparently, the latest 4070 Drivers weren’t really working with Unreal. Found it in a tutorial video of an Unreal master (Miguel Andrade on YouTube) where he just casually mentioned “oh, and do not update drivers for now since the latest ones cause Glitches with unreal. The best version is 552.44” - tried downgrading to 552.44 and everything is working fine. Leaving here just for others to know that it might be drivers sometimes!

Thank you all for the answers, I’m sure I’ll come back to bother you again, soon XD
