Hello, I upgraded my project from 5.0 to 5.1 and when i built my lightmaps they are much brighter then they used to be. I didn’t mess with any settings.
Example:

5.1 here:
Was there something changed in UE5.1?
Thanks for any help.

yes they fix some many problems with lumen and illumination in general
by “illumination in general” do you also mean changes in CPU lightmass? I wasn’t able to find anything in changenotes
just also tested this with blank project created in UE5.0 and then converted to UE5.1. Baked on medium quality. Lighting looks brighter in UE5.1
UE 5.0:
UE 5.1:
Are the lightmaps brighter before building the lighting in the new version of the engine? As in, if you just upgrade your existing project with built lightmaps, do the lightmaps look the same until you build them again?
If they don’t, I’d suggest you check out the Lightmass ini file in the engine folder, see if there are any changes to it between 5.0 and 5.1.
lightmaps are normal when I upgrade. They get brighter when I bake.
Thank you for your tip, I checked lightmass.ini file but there wasn’t anything so that didn’t fixed it unfortunatly.
Are you lightmass settings the same between projects 5.0.3 and 5.1? (World settings => Lightmass)
I’d suggest reporting it then
yes they are
