Lightmap compression options

So, as mentioned on other threads, the default compression on lightmaps looks pretty horrible on large flat surfaces (like walls). We can use uncompressed lightmaps but…

I would really like to be able to select specific lightmaps for the walls to remain uncompressed while all others use compression.

And or,
choose what compression to use for lightmaps.

What says you?

I second this. It’s an absolutely crucial feature for large ArchViz projects.

It’s really frustrating that there’s just a simple “compress lightmaps” switch, but no control about what and how to compress. Strange that this wasn’t requested a whole lot more already…
