Lighting on Xbox broken

Summary

Players on our map have been reporting to us their lighting is broken since v38.00 Players have a very dark screen, almost unable to see / play the game properly.

Play 5382-8693-1539 on an Xbox console
Observe darkness instead of the correct lighting showing

Expected Result

Lighting being accurate to how we set it up in UEFN.

Observed Result

Dark screen, unplayable if you don’t know the layout.

These are Xbox One screenshots on an old TV, in UK PAL format, not on a 4K monitor.

Everything is set to the default settings for brightness and colour

In Fortnite, all settings are default, no settings like graphics changed, just loaded 38.00

Now the Nintendo Switch 1

Update: Working on NS1, so removed the bad pictures of NS1

These could be better, pictures working on Nintendo Switch 1 with a new update in post 9

Could not see the characters as well as NS1

The Laptop version of Windows 11 38.00 needed me to set my normal 70% brightness to 100% brightness to play the game. At 70% could see nothing.

IMHO, people have different settings, and the contrast may have been adjusted.

The Xbox version plays better than the PC/Laptop version.

All the islands normally use work in 38.00, just like previous versions

Obviously, in various posts, this has been explained before, but we don’t know what the island looks like before 38.00

Rectangular lights create a glaring brightness on some platforms. This issue will be resolved in 38.10, but we wanted to give you a heads-up that a different lighting approach (such as spotlights) will stop this from going live in your game.

This is now working on Android with the message UPDATING 1.5GB. Then downloading with % of 1.5GB and the game works.

Just need to figure out how to delete the version and download again on Xbox One

Update The Nintendo Switch 1 is now working with the latest update

Thanks all for the replies! We have changed out the 2-3 rect lights we had in the map and are testing now with affected players.
