Lighting Needs to be Rebuilt

Hey everyone! Just started Unreal a few weeks ago following Unreal Sensei. The moment I add a directional light, it points downwards instead of upwards. The error message “Lighting needs to be rebuilt” also pops up.

Neither am I able to select the directional lights to change it’s directions or to delete it.

Tried to find something similar on youtube or in the questions but haven’t come across the same issue.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Just change your directional light to moveable :slight_smile:

Thanks Clockwork! But I’m unable to even select the directional light by clicking on it or in the far right menu. Can’t select nor delete it. It’s this grey colour that I can’t access.

Are you using world partition? I’ve never seen it affect the light, but try right clicking on it on the outliner and selecting ‘pin’.

Otherwise, just start a new level ( I see that is possible :slight_smile: )
