Im trying to build a game were you are a toy soldier in a huge house. My character is around 6ft and i scaled the house up 50 times. My problem is the sun and lighting is not working properly. How can i fix this?
Some general life advice: You’re much more likely to get help if you actually describe the problem you are having, post pictures, or provide literally any information at all about what is wrong.
Yeah sorry i was pretty lazy with my post. This is what the scene looks like when the room is normal sized Screenshot by Lightshot and this is what it looks like when scaled up Screenshot by Lightshot You can clearly tell the first picture is proper lighting and when its scaled up in the other picture the lighting isnt as good and the sun is clipping through the ceiling. I tried a lot of things to fix it but had no luck
This is scattering from the SkyAtmosphere actor, most of Unreals built-in visual effects assume a real world scale in order to give good results.
You can try to tweak the settings on the SkyAtmosphere component, the sunlight leaking is from the forward scattering, reducing the Mie Anisotropy to 0 should reduce the effect. From there you can try to reduce the fogginess by reducing the Mie and Rayleigh Scattering Scale.
This is just one of a lot of problems you’re going to run into though, my advice would be to find some middle ground of scaling down your character and scaling up your environment. Otherwise you’re going to have a difficult time.
